THE PROS!!!!
---MORE LINES THAN MOST K-2 JOURNALS - The front of each page is 1/2 space for drawing and 1/2 space for writing. It's so great that the back of the page has additional space for writing. Moving into 2nd grade, I want to encourage my child to write paragraphs. This is the perfect tool for us. Most K-2 journals only have the 1/2 page space to write, which isn't conducive to paragraphs or longer stories.
---SPIRAL BINDING - We especially love the spiral binding! It is more comfortable to write with the spiral binding. Traditional composition books can be awkward to navigate. Mychild is a lefty! So this makes it a little easier on her too.
---STRONG COVER - The cover is nicely laminated, so it should holde up better than a traditional composition book.
---DIMENSIONS - It is about and inch taller and 1/2 inch wider than a traditional composition, so there is a little more room to draw/write.
THE CONS!!!
---NUMBER OF PAGES - This book is thinner than a traditional composition book. I'd say there are only 1/4 the pages of a composition book. We won't be able to write as much in here. (For me, though, don't mind have a slightly slimmer book. I'd rather work on making quality writing than a huge quanitty of low quality writing. We're going to use this as a "special summer journal"!)
