What can you do with a few sheets of construction paper, a whole puncher, stickers and some left over ribbon? My four-year old son and I found a great way to make some easy Valentine's together to decorate our windows. We needed something fun to do together, so I ransacked my craft area and brought out the list of items above as well as crayons and scissors.
First, I cut out hearts and my four-year old had fun punching holes all over the heart.
Then, we threaded the ribbon up and down through the holes. This is such a great activity to strengthen his fine motor skills as well as developing hand-eye coordination.
I curled the edges of the ribbons with the scissors while he stuck on some foil heart-shaped stickers I had on hand.
We then taped them up into our windows and surprisingly the valentine's turned out quite well. I think our windows look fantastic! [Tweet "Have fun making Valentines together no matter what your age!"]
Have fun with them! Make them rainbow color! Don't have heart stickers? Use whatever any other stickers or have your child color a picture on them. Enjoy your time together and hang up your creations for everyone to see!
