I am a wife to one and a mom to two and one Goldendoodle dog! Three boys and a dog to take care of equals, one very busy woman/mom! That’s me and I wouldn’t change it for anything! I dreamed about having kids of my own since I was a kid. I love Inventing games to play, finding creative things to make, snuggling on the coach, singing silly songs, having a kid dance party! When I’m not with my boys, I enjoy playing hockey on a women’s league, knitting, hanging out with friends and of course, researching and writing for my blog!
I am very fortunate and blessed to be a stay at home mom. My older son, Dylan is just beginning middle school and my younger son, Tyler is in first grade.
It sounds perfect and many times it is, but it’s also a very busy 24/7 non-stop job and I finally understand why my mom often told me when my siblings and I were kids, that she wished she could find a small closet to lock herself away for just five minutes of quiet! I use to roll my eyes at her. But now all these years later, I sometimes wish for the same closet! If only my mom hadn’t passed before I could tell her “I get it now”!
When starting our family, things don’t always work out how we think they will be or should. My husband, Jason and I went through five years of infertility treatments, none of which worked. We went through much heartache as we did have two miscarriages before we decided it was time for us to learn to put our trust in God. Instead of weakening our marriage, it actually strengthened it and brought us closer together. I was finally at a point where I knew to ask God to give us strength to accept what he has decided for us. We knew God would help us to become parents, whether it was through having a child grow inside me or through adoption.
Fast forward fifteen years later and we now have two wonderful sons. An adventurous thoughtful 11-year-old and a curious thriving 7-year-old; My husband is very loving, supportive and fun. We also have a 8-year-old Goldendoodle named, Millie. We enjoy learning through various activities such as crafts, activity books, games, nature and hiking. On the weekends, it’s all about family and doing things together.
We love hiking, hockey, traveling around New England (and then some!), play and have fun together. Every summer we go camping, in the fall it’s about picking apples and festivals. Skiing and ice hockey during the winter keeps us busy and soon back to spring where I can’t wait to get my New England flowers into the ground and pray the allergies aren’t going to be too bad this year!
Come join our adventures of the good, the bad, the sticky, the fun, the messy, but all so good adventures of me with my boys.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our adventures together! Every child is a miracle and God gave us two wonderful gifts that we cherish every day.
