Hi! Welcome to NewEnglandMomma.com, where you will find motivation to do more with your family and kids. We love to visit both familiar and new places around New England. Each day trip report includes a ‘What you need to know before you go’ which offers 5 + tips before your family goes!
You will also find road trip tips from handling kids meltdowns to what snacks to pack!
Our dogs are an integral part of our family and we love to bring them camping with us when we can. Cooking over charcoal is one of my favorite things to do and I’ll be sharing lots of camping tips and hacks!
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up riding the T, working in Boston and going to school in Providence, Rhode Island. This Massachusetts native loves to explore different places within New England.
I live in Leominster, Massachusetts with my husband and two boys. If you’ve never heard of Leominster, it’s in Central Massachusetts which is perfectly placed within New England, if you ask me! All the other states around us make it easy to get to when we’re out for a day of fun.
My boys are ages 7 and 12 and getting outdoors is something I tell them often as fresh air always does them good. Playing on the backyard playground, soccer with the neighborhood kids or working on their hockey shots in the driveway is usually where you can find my kids when outdoors.
We also have two dogs in our home. Millie is our 9 year old GoldenDoodle and Chloe, a Portuguese Water dog is less than a year old. Usually, Millie goes camping with us in the summer months. It will be interesting to see how successful Chloe does camping this summer!
During the summer, we go camping; Fall is all about picking apples and festivals. Winter means time for hockey and skiing and in the Spring planting flowers and gearing up for the camping season!
